KI 2905 Is my PC compatible with Windows 11?

As a result of the phasing out of Windows 10, you may have questions about whether your PC is compatible with Windows 11.

All compatible PCs have activated self-service upgrade to Windows 11, which can be done from Software Center.

Compatible machines were mainly produced from 2018. Machines older than this will not be supported.
If you want to manually check if your PC is compatible, you can easily follow these steps:
  1. Click on the Start button at the bottom left.
  2. Type "About this PC" - there is no search field
  3. Select "About this PC" or "Om denne PCen" if the display language is in Norwegian.
  4. Look for the line "Processor" or "Prosessor"



What is the minimum requirement for Windows 11?
Windows 11 requires at least an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7.

You can identify which processor your PC has by looking at the designation:
Intel Core i5 8265U

It's the number 8 that describes which generation a processor belongs to.

Example of a machine with a processor that is not compatible:
Intel Core i5 6500
