KI 2864 Enroll Mac in Intune from Company Portal

If a UiB Mac is not registered in Apple School Manager but should be enrolled in Intune you can use the following procedure

load Company Portal from Microsoft

Open a browser (e.g. Safari) and go to the website: https://aka.ms/enrollmymac

Permit the download, and the Company Portal app will start downloading automatically.

12 Install Company Portal
Locate the dowloaded install file (CompanyPortal-Installer.pkg) and install the program:

Step through the installation process, accept the license, etc.

Enter the local user's password when prompted:

Open the company portal app (firmaportal in Norwegian)

Click "Download profile":

The profile will be opened, click "Install..."

Enter the password for your local user when asked. The profile will then be installed.

The enrollment is complete, but all configuration is missing, so continue with point 3.3.

Important! Leave the computer turned on for an hour to allow all the configuration pieces to fall into place. You are welcome to use the computer in the meantime.
Contact the IT department if any of the steps fail, or the list of profiles does not expand within half an hour.

A prompt "macOS - Log in to UIB.NO" will appear, log in with your UiB account (email address), to be able to use UiB's printers.

- Check that the Managed Software Center is installed
Within an hour, the "Managed Software Center" should have been installed.

- Enable FileVault
When you restart the computer the next time, you will be asked to enable FileVault, do this.
