KI 2764 Planned Network and IT Service Outage on Thursday, February 13

Please be aware that on Thursday, February 13, there will be interruptions in IT services and some networks between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM due to planned maintenance and updates on several of our systems.

The network at the Universitetsbiblioteket (University Library), Haakon Sheteligs plass 7, will be reconfigured and unavailable from 4:00 PM onwards.
- Note: Users affected by this change must restart their computers on Friday morning to apply the network changes.
Printers at HiB will be prepared for an upcoming network reconfiguration. Each of the 20 printers at HiB will experience a 20-minute outage after working hours. This affects Bioblokk A and B as well as the main building.
The network at Haukeland, Alrek Health Cluster, and the Odontologen (Department of Clinical Dentistry) (Årstadveien 17-19) will experience a 15-20 minute outage between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Skjemaker will be down for about an hour starting at 3:00 PM.
Due to work on our email system, there will be delays in email delivery between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
We need to upgrade Oracle, which will cause the following applications to be down from 4:00 PM for a few hours:
- ID photo
- Political speeches
- Student course database (studbase)
- Mail/package dispatch at transport
- Development databases for apex applications

If you plan to use the services during this period, we recommend saving your work frequently. If you experience issues such as your PC freezing or a service being unavailable, we suggest taking a break and trying again later. If you encounter irregularities with your computer, restart it to see if that resolves the issue.
