KI 2560 Submitting a reading list

(updated )
Part of the user guide for the reading list system Leganto
In order to have your reading list processed by the library and published for the students, you need to submit the list. Every semester the course is taught, the list has to be submitted, even if there are no changes to the content. This is the only way for the library to know that the list is ready to be published.

To submit the reading list, click 'Submit list' in Leganto.

Submit your list as early as possible, to increase the chances for the literature to be ready for the start of the semester (in the library, the student book shop and in Litteraturkiosken) (KI 2559).

If you make changes to the list, please re-submit it.

If you make changes to the list after it is published, you need to inform the following of the changes:
  • If you add new citations, please submit the reading list again in the system.
  • If you make changes the library need to handle, and you are not able to submit the list again, please contact the Leganto team.
  • If citations are deleted, Akademika and/or the digitization staff need to be notified that the book/excerpt is withdrawn from the study literature.
  • Changes in the study literature should also be communicated to the students.
When the list is submitted to the library:
  • The library checks the availability for books/book chapters and journal articles and whether the articles/chapters tagged for Litteraturkiosken (KI 2550) can be digitized. The library does not necessarily check other citations/resource types.
  • The books and book chapters are reported automatically to Akademika (KI 2533).
  • The library publishes the list after reviewing it. The list will be automatically available on the course page at uib.no. Please note that the course itself has to be published in Mitt UiB, in order for the students to find the reading list there.
