This is information about how to lock your computer before leaving your desk

When you leave your desk it is a good idea to lock your computer so that other people can’t access your data or use your computer to impersonate you.
There are a few ways to lock your Windows based computer. Here are instructions on some of the ways to do it.


· Press W + L
· Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, then choose “Lock”

· Some keyboards have a specific lock button (normally represented by a closed padlock). Simply press this button.

With Windows 10 and 11 you can also set your computer to automatically lock when your phone moves out of range of your computer. How do I lock my Mac computer?

When you leave your desk it is a good idea to lock your computer so that other people can’t access your data or use your computer to impersonate you.
There are a few ways to lock your Mac. Here are instructions on some of the ways to do it.
· On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Lock Screen.
· Press the TouchID pad if it’s available on your Mac or Magic Keyboard.
· Press the Lock Screen button if it’s available on your Magic Keyboard.

When you leave your desk it is a good ideato lock your computer so that other people can’t access your data or use your computer to impersonate you.
To lock your Linux computer:
· Press W + L
· Click the system menu on the right side of the top bar and click the padlock button which also has a label “Lock”.
