KI 0853 Error "Sign in failed, email already taken" when logging into UiB's Gitlab

When attempting to log into UiB's Gitlab (https://git.app.uib.no), you receive the error "Sign in failed, email already taken".

If you have previously logged into UiB's Gitlab using the "Github" option on the login page, and the Github account is registered with your UiB email address, this account will conflict with the Dataporten login option, which uses your registered UiB-email address.

You can check if this is the case by logging into UiBs Gitlab using your Github credentials, and examining your profile (https://git.app.uib.no/profile). If your UiB email address is your registered email for this account, you must change it to be able to use Dataporten as a login option.

After changing the email address you should be able to access Gitlab using the Dataporten login option.
