KI 0186 The Kopinor licence agreement and copyright clearance (The Literature Kiosk)

Copyright clearance in the Literature Kiosk

See also the main page about Digital study literature (The Literature Kiosk)
According to the Kopinor Agreement we have the rights to use up to 15 % of the pages of a book, or one article from a journal issue per course/semester as (digitised) study literature. All book excerpts that are digitised for this use, must be registered at Kopinor every time it is used. It is possible to apply for extended clearance in these cases:
  • a single chapter exceeds 15 % of the page count
  • a book is out of print
The digitisation staff at the university library registers and applies for rights clearance for the material that is to be digitised.

To request digitisation of book excerpts and articles, tag the reading list citation with 'Litteraturkiosken', and add the correct page span (KI 2550).
